Katie YuBritney Spears didn’t authorize the new Lifetime movie based on her life, but the actress playing the pop star, Natasha Bassett, hopes she’ll still watch it.

“I’ve stalked her a lot,” Natasha tells E! News. “We haven’t had any contact, but I hear she’s a fan of Lifetime movies, so I hope she’ll watch the movie.”

The actress also hopes Britney is pleased with the film’s portrayal of her.

“It really shines a beautiful light on her and shows how she came through something so horrible in a very beautiful way and came out a lot stronger,” she says.

Natasha says if she ever met Britney in person, she’d give her nothing but praise.

“I would just tell her how much I admire her and how much respect I have for her and that I wish her all the happiness in the world,” she says.

Britney Ever After, which follows Britney from her rise to fame to her subsequent meltdown to her eventual comeback, airs tomorrow on Lifetime at 8 p.m. ET.
