Kevin Winter/Getty Images for iHeartMediaBackstreet Boy Nick Carter has revealed on Twitter that he and his wife have lost the child they were expecting.
“God give us peace during this time. I really was looking forward to meeting her after 3 months,” Nick wrote, adding a crying face emoji. “I’m heart broken.”
In response to a fan’s post, he added, “It was a little sister for Odin.” Odin is Nick and wife Lauren Kitt‘s two-year old son. The couple married in April of 2014.
On Monday night, Nick was set to do a solo concert in Lima, Peru, but at first, the grieving star said on Twitter that he didn’t think he could take the stage. “I don’t think I can perform tonight. I’m sorry Lima,” he wrote.
But an hour later, Nick tweeted, “This will be hard, but for the love of my fans here in Lima I’ll be on the stage tonight.”
