5 Seconds of Summer scores third ‘Billboard’ #1 album with ‘Youngblood’

Capitol Records5 Seconds of Summer is enjoying a sweet start to the new week.  Their latest album, Youngblood, tops the Billboard 200, selling more than 142,000 equivalent units for the week ending June 21.

That also makes 5SoS the only band — not a vocal group — to debut their first three studio albums top the Billboard 200 chart, including their self-titled 2014 debut and their 2015 follow-up, Sounds Good Feels Good.  5 Seconds of Summer is also the first Australian band, period, to land three albums atop the Billboard 200.

Youngblood features the singles “Want You Back” and the title track.
