Will Jamie Foxx play Mike Tyson in upcoming biopic?

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Jamie Foxx is reportedly gearing up for another major biopic.

After winning the Best Actor Oscar for playing Ray Charles in 2004’s Ray, Foxx will reportedly strap on the gloves of boxing legend Mike Tyson.

“It’s on, as of right now,” the British tabloid The Sun quotes Tyson as saying. “Jamie Foxx has signed on for it. Filming hasn’t started yet, but it’s going to happen.

Although Tyson didn’t going into detail about what part of his life the rumored film would cover, the boxing champ did admit, “A lot of people aren’t going to like the things I’ve done in my life.”

In a January interview with Screen Rant, Foxx seemingly confirmed that he was a part of the Tyson biopic, calling it “a go” after being asked if he “were attached” to the project. The actor also revealed that Martin Scorsese, who’s rumored to direct the project, was set to be a part of it as well.

“Yeah, he’s attached,” Foxx said of Scorsese. “And…Mike Tyson’s life is one of the most amazing American stories.”

Selena Gomez’s mom weighs in on daughter’s kidney transplant: “This picture…will live with me forever”

David Livingston/Getty ImagesSelena Gomez surprised fans last week with the announcement that she’d undergone a kidney transplant earlier this summer as a result of her lupus.  She also posted an image of herself in the hospital, along with her donor: actress and friend Francia Rasia.  Now Selena’s mom has re-posted that photo and added her own thoughts about the revelation.

“This picture is one of the most breathtaking images that will live with me forever. For all those moments of not knowing if we were going up or going down, I can always come back to this picture and know we can always make it back up,” writes Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey.

She adds, “As a mother I was helpless, scared and all I could do was pray for both of them, Francia’s beautiful family. I am pretty sure I am banned from that hospital. Mama Bear was in high gear.”

Teefy concludes, “Selena gained a kidney, I was able to keep my little girl, but I also gained another daughter….thank you to everyone who was there for Sel, Francia and our families. We survived from all the love, prayers and God.”

Madonna considering “intimate” residency show featuring “humor, pathos and truth”

Joshua BrandaoMadonna has performed at the world’s biggest concert venues, but she says at this point in her career, she wants to scale things back.

“I’ve done so many shows — world tours, stadiums, sports arenas, you name it — that I feel like I have to reinvent that now too,” she tells the BBC in an interview promoting her new Rebel Heart concert DVD.

“I like doing intimate shows and being able to talk directly to the audience; to play with them and use humor and pathos and truth, and share my life — and also make up stories,” she explains. “I like the freedom of it and I like the intimacy of it, and I would like to explore doing it more in the future.”

For a hint of what a Madonna concert like that might look like, check out the Rebel Heart concert DVD: it features Tears of a Clown, an exclusive fan club show she did in Melbourne, Australia that was a mix of comedy and music.

“This is something I’m exploring right now: the idea of doing a show that doesn’t travel the world, but stays in one place and utilizes not only humor and the music in a more intimate setting but other people’s music, as well, and other entertainment,” Madonna tells the BBC.

When asked if that means she’s looking to do a residency of some type, Madonna says, “Yeah, a residency. If I look back at the Rebel Heart tour, my favorite [part] was really the last section where I got to just sit on the stage and play my ukulele and sing ‘La Vie en Rose’ and talk to the audience.”

“Just more intimate,” she adds. “More audience participation and connecting to human beings — I feel I’m craving that more and more.”

Backstage at the Emmys, Colin Jost calls rumored girlfriend Scarlett Johansson “Pretty awesome”

NBC/Tre(LOS ANGELES) — The Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” co-host Colin Jost had more Emmy gold to be proud of Sunday night, thanks to his show’s performance at the 2017 Emmy Awards, but he was also proud of his rumored girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson.

“She’s wonderful. She’s working, so otherwise, she’d be here,” the 35-year-old writer told Entertainment Tonight.

“She’s pretty cool,” he gushed, adding, “It’s hard to have a lot of complaints, she’s pretty awesome.”

While news of their reported hooking up during a recent SNL afterparty seemed to take some by surprise, Jost explained they’ve known each other for years.

“The first time she hosted was the first year I was a writer on the show, so, we’ve kind of known each other since then.”

As if it wasn’t clear what he thinks of Johansson, Colin reiterated of the onscreen Avenger: “She’s the best.”

Kevin Hart’s alleged extortionist explains why she went after him

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — The woman who is reportedly extorting Kevin Hart for millions of dollars for his alleged infidelity during his marriage to his wife, Eniko Hart, has released a video explaining why she went after the Central Intelligence actor.

In a nearly five-minute video, obtained by TMZ and described by the gossip site, the unidentified extortionist shares an image of Hart in bed with an unidentified woman. The video then continues with a scene where two people, one suspected to be Hart, are seen having sex. Later, the man is seen putting on his clothes.

In a written explanation in the video, which TMZ does share, the extortionist breaks down why she felt the need to expose Hart.

“The REAL reason Kevin Hart orchestrated the Texas Hurricane Relief fund… was… to get ahead as he knew this damaging footage was one click away from being exposed as the liar and cheater he is,” the explanation reads, in part.

“Kevin Hart was privy to me wanting to expose him, as I have made countless attempts to expose this information to various blogs, in an attempt to also get paid,” the video text goes on, adding that Hart was “tipped off” and “most likely paid them off as they would not take on the story.  Hence why I am exposing him in this way (FOR FREE).”

According to the extortionist, Hart was “drinking, doing drugs and having sex with multiple women” in Las Vegas while she was there with her friends. The woman says she felt appalled seeing Kevin “blatantly disrespect his marriage.”

“For the record, I do not claim to be a saint,” reads the message.  “I know exactly who and what I am.  The difference is, I am not married, nor do I pretend to be perfect.”

As previously reported, Hart went on Instagram on Saturday evening to apologize to his wife and kids for his actions. Although he did not specify what he exactly did, his management released a statement on Sunday to ABC News, saying he was being extorted.

“Someone tried to set Kevin up in a failed extortion attempt. As law enforcement is involved, we cannot comment further as it could affect the investigation,” the statement read.

Debbie Gibson will dance to her own song when new season of “DWTS” debuts tonight

(L-R) Alan Bernsten, Debbie Gibson – ABC/Lou Rocco(LOS ANGELES) — When pop stars join the cast of Dancing with the Stars, they usually wait a few weeks before dancing to one of their own hits, but not Debbie Gibson. When the show returns for its 25th season tonight on ABC at 8 p.m. ET, she’ll be strutting her stuff to her 1988 #1 hit “Lost in Your Eyes,” along with her pro partner Alan Bernsten.

But just because she’s dancing to a familiar song doesn’t mean the former teen idol will be any less nervous.  “Seriously, I am somebody who, once I’m on stage, I’m happy, I’m relaxed…but the hours leading up to a performance, even 30 years later, I make myself crazy!” Debbie tells ABC Radio.

She laughs, “It’s like, I don’t drink, I don’t take Xanax, I have no crutches. I anticipate that first time on the ballroom, I’m sure I’m gonna be petrified and trying to…pull it together.”

Another pop idol, Nick Lachey, is competing this season, against his own wife, Vanessa. She’s dancing with Maks Chmerkovskiy, while he’s dancing with Maks’ wife, Peta Murgatroyd.  But he says he and Vanessa will avoid any trash talk.

“I don’t think we even need to talk smack, because it’s just kinda understood that there’s a lot riding on this,” he tells ABC Radio. “I mean, pride if nothing else….we’re both competitive. We both wanna win, but we also both support each other.”

“I think there’s really a great opportunity to…be there for each other, and hopefully that gets us both into the finals,” he says. “And then we’ll see what happens!”

The third musician in the ballroom this year is platinum-selling pop violinist Lindsey Stirling.  She’s paired with two-time champ Mark Ballas,  a friend of hers.

“I saw that I could…make it work [with my schedule] and…I was like, ‘Sign me up! I’m in!'” Lindsey laughs. “And then when I found out Mark was doing it, I was like, ‘Can he be my partner?'”

On tonight’s show, each couple will perform a salsa, foxtrot, tango or cha cha, and no one will be eliminated.

Here’s who’s dancing to what tonight:

Barbara Corcoran & Keo Motsepe – Salsa – “Money Maker” by Ludacris featuring Pharrell
Debbie Gibson & Alan Bersten – Foxtrot – “Lost in Your Eyes” by Debbie Gibson
Derek Fisher & Sharna Burgess – Salsa – “Basketball” by Kurtis Blow
