(NEW YORK) — We’ve had two movies so far. Now we’re getting a primetime Blues Brothers animated series.
Its co-creators include Dan Aykroyd and his fellow Blues Brother John Belushi’s widow, Judy Belushi. The show reportedly will chronicle “the music, mayhem and comedy adventures of Jake and Elwood Blues, along with the characters within their master blues band.”
The project will be shopped to TV platforms beginning this month. The Blues Brothers began as a Saturday Night Live sketch before spawning a classic 1980 movie, as well as a hit album. A sequel, Blues Brothers 2000, was released in 1998, starring Aykroyd, John Goodman and Joe Morton.
