(NEW YORK) — You may have missed the debut of Meghan Trainor’s new music video for “Me Too” on Monday. That’s because she had it pulled, suggesting her appearance was altered without her permission.
The singer explained her concerns in a Snapchat video just hours after the “Me Too” clip was released.
“My waist is not that teeny. I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist,” she said. “I didn’t approve that video and it went out for the world, so I’m embarrassed.”
Trainor, whose Grammy-nominated breakthrough hit was “All About That Bass,” celebrating the appeal of curvy women, has been outspoken in her belief that people should be comfortable in their own skin.
The colorful video for “Me Too” had Meghan taking us through a day in her life.
