ABC/Fred Lee(NEW YORK) — Natalie Portman’s days in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be behind her.

She starred in the first two Thor movies as a love interest to Chris Hemsworth’s titular character. But she won’t appear in the third film in the series, Thor: Ragnarok, and she’s not expecting to appear in any subsequent Marvel projects, either.

“As far as I know, I’m done,” she tells The Wall Street Journal. “I don’t know if maybe one day they’ll ask for an ‘Avengers 7’ or whatever I have no idea. But as far as I know, I’m done.”

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had said in an interview with the Empire Film Podcast in May that Portman would not reprise her role of Jane Foster in Thor: Ragnarok — due out in November of 2017 — for “many reasons.”

“There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this movie. The majority, 95 percent of the movie, takes place in the cosmos,” he explained.

Portman spoke to The Wall Street Journal to discuss her feature film directorial debut, A Tale of Love and Darkness, which hits select theaters Friday.

Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
