Republic RecordsLiam Payne may have taken off his shirt to pose for the artwork of his solo single “Strip that Down,” but in the newly-released video, he keeps his clothes on.
What’s more, nobody else does any stripping in the video, either: we see Liam singing the song, shot in both black-and-white and in color, as both male and female dancers — mostly female — bump and grind in a variety of locations, including next to old-fashioned pink convertible.
Toward the end, guest Quavo shows up for his verse, but he doesn’t get naked either. And unfortunately, Ed Sheeran, who co-wrote the song and whose voice you hear singing, “Strip that down, girl,” doesn’t make a guest appearance in the clip.
