ABC/Randy Holmes(NEW YORK) — Kelly Ripa’s first guest co-host once Michael Strahan leaves their daytime talk show has been announced.
Jimmy Kimmel will join Ripa on Live on Monday, May 16 — three days after Strahan bids adieu to the program. Kimmel has served as guest co-host numerous times in the past.
Kimmel’s Los Angeles-based late-night show airs on ABC, which distributes Live. He was already expected in New York, where Live‘s studio is located, to host ABC’s upfront presentation — where the network will reveal its 2016-2017 schedule for advertisers — on May 17.
Strahan’s impending departure from Live was announced last month. He’ll have a full-time role on ABC’s Good Morning America beginning in September.
