(LOS ANGELES) — Harrison Ford’s relationship with his Star Wars alter-ego Han Solo is famously complicated, and it seems Indiana Jones bugs him, too: or at least, the archaeologist’s famous theme music.
At the American Film Institute Life Achievement gala honoring the theme’s creator, multiple Oscar winner John Williams, Ford joked, “That damn music follows me everywhere.”
“They play it every time I walk on stage, every time I walk off a stage. It was playing in the operating room when I went in for my colonoscopy,” the star said.
“I was walking down a crowded street in New York a couple of months ago and there was a big fire truck stuck in traffic that I passed in the opposite direction…By the time I got to the end of the truck that music was blaring out of the loud speakers in the truck!” Ford added,
Kidding aside, Variety also reports the actor — as did numerous other stars — praised Williams for his unmistakable contribution to cinema.
Jokes about Indy’s theme music notwithstanding, Ford has agreed to play “the man in the hat” once again, for a fifth Indiana Jones adventure set for a July 19, 2019 release.
