UMLE/RBMG/Def Jam/Republic Records“Despacito,” the #1 hit featuring Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, is on track to set a major YouTube record.
The video — the one without Justin — has so far racked up over 1.7 billion views to date, which means it’s now on track to reach two billion views faster than any other clip in YouTube history. It was the second-fastest video to reach a billion views, second only to Adele‘s “Hello.”
When it was first released, the audio-only version of the “Despacito” remix — which featured Justin — had the biggest-ever debut on YouTube, racking up over 20 million views in its first 24 hours.
