Desiree Navarro/WireImage(NEW YORK) — Christie Brinkley, the 62-year-old supermodel and ex-Mrs. Billy Joel, got upset with another Hamptons resident this weekend when the neighbor relived herself near Brinkley’s mansion in the North Haven section of Sag Harbor, on New York’s Long Island.
The New York Daily News reports that 36-year-old Erica Remkus was watching fireworks and couldn’t find a toilet so she squatted in the sand as a last resort.
Evidently, Brinkley saw her and started yelling at her. “How dare you come pee on my rocks — I walk on those rocks,” Brinkley shouted. And then, Remkus says, Brinkley got her garden hose and started spraying her.
Then the two got into a shouting match, whereuppon the former face of Cover Girl called the cops.
Southampton police said that they received a report of a suspicious person, but no arrests were made. Remkus said the police let her go. she wasn’t drunk and didn’t even recognize Brinkley at first. She also says she’s considering pressing charges against the supermodel.
“She was legitimately harassing me with her garden hose,” Remkus tells the Daily News. The paper says Brinkley emailed them Monday, declaring, “Maybe the trespasser should celebrate Depends Day, as I was forced to hose down her mess.”
