Jason Merritt/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced they were putting an end to their 10-year marriage exactly a year ago Thursday. So why do they seem to be dragging their feet?
A friend of Garner’s tells People magazine, “Ben still doesn’t want the divorce.”
Jennifer has been denying reconciliation rumors to friends, though. “[Jennifer] doesn’t seem to mind at all that [the divorce] is not finalized,” adds the insider, noting, “she seems adamant about going through with it.”
The estranged couple recently spent a month in Europe together with their kids — Violet, 10, Seraphina, seven, and Samuel, four — while he was shooting his upcoming film, Justice League. The trip included a family getaway to Paris.
“She did have the best time in Europe with Ben and the kids,” says her friend. “She seemed to enjoy spending time with Ben again.”
However, another source close to the couple tells the magazine that “nothing has changed” in the relationship: “They’re still all about putting the kids first.”
The two reportedly are continuing to stay together at their family home when they’re both in Los Angeles as Affleck flies back and forth to London for filming.
Ben, 43, and Jennifer, 44, married in 2005.
Ben will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Justice League, which is set for a 2017 release.
