Kelly Clarkson’s first children’s book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, was so popular that she’s now created a sequel…and it’s the perfect holiday gift.
River Rose and the Magical Christmas arrives October 24; Kelly announced it with a video on her Facebook page. The book finds Kelly’s daughter River Rose Blackstock wanting to stay up all night on Christmas Eve so she can give a letter to Santa Claus in person. But she and her dog Joplin fall asleep, and are swept off on a magical adventure to the North Pole, where she gets to tell Santa what she really wants for Christmas.
As with the first book, the new one features illustrations by Lucy Fleming, as well as an original song called “Christmas Eve” written and performed by Kelly.
In a statement, Kelly says, “I am so excited to be able to bring the magic of the River Rose series back in time for the holidays. My family and I find this to be the most magical time of year and I wanted to share that with everyone.”
