(LOS ANGELES) — Sounds like Will Smith is shutting down the possibility of a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot.
The actor tells E! News, “I don’t think ever, like pretty close to when hell freezes over. Like, we’re going to leave that one alone.”
Last year rumors circulated that Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith were using their Hollywood connections to bring back a new version of the show for the younger generation. According to TV Line, the show was in the very early stages and would be a “present-day family comedy that puts a spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of Fresh Prince.”
Smith is currently promoting his new film, Suicide Squad, which is in theaters Friday.
