(NEW YORK) — A new Superman is flying to The CW.
The Man of Steel will be portrayed on Supergirl by Tyler Hoechlin, best known for his role on MTV’s Teen Wolf. He also appears in Richard Linklater’s latest film, Everybody Wants Some!!
The CW announced last month that it’s adding Supergirl to its 2016-2017 schedule. The show’s first season aired on its sister network, CBS. The series stars Melissa Benoist as Clark Kent/Kal-El’s Kryptonian cousin.
Clark Kent/Superman has only been glimpsed in season one, and never clearly. Hell reportedly appear at the start of the new season.
The DC superhero was last played on TV by Tom Welling on another CW series, Smallville. Of course, Superman is currently depicted on the big screen by Henry Cavill, most recently in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
