“Suicide Squad”; Clay Enos/TM & © DC Comics(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:
* Suicide Squad — In the highly anticipated film, which has received mostly negative reviews so far, a collection of DC supervillains are assembled and sent on a dangerous mission by the government. It stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc. Rated PG-13.
* Nine Lives — Kevin Spacey’s billionaire character, Tom Brand, is a cat hater who gets into an accident and ends up trapped inside the body of a cat that’s adopted by his own family. Jennifer Garner, Malina Weissman, Cheryl Hines, Christopher Walken and Robbie Amell also star. Rated PG.
