Rotimi tells ABC Audio he's grateful to offer his family financial security, while preparing to release his debut album.

"Nothing is more important than security for your family and so for them to believe in me and to see my value and put a great number behind it, thank you Lord for that," says the Nigerian-American singer. "But this year is going to be amazing. My first debut album is going to be coming out and with the success of my single 'In My Bed' people are waiting for the next thing and we got that thing."

Rotimi says he's excited for people to hear his next single and his forthcoming album, which he describes as "a body a work that will just consume your life."

"Wherever you go, you're going to play my album. Whatever mood you're in, you're gonna play my album and I'm super excited for that," he adds. "Definitely once COVID lightens up, I'll definitely get on tour." (AUDIO IS ABC 1-ON-1)

Rotimi originally signed a partnership with Empire in 2019, after departing from 50 Cent's G-Unit Records. He has also released a number of smash singles and collaborations including "Lotto" featuring 50, "Love Riddim," "Want More" with Kranium and most recently, "In My Bed" featuring Wale.

Rotimi's forthcoming debut follows his independent EPs — Walk With Me and Jeep Music Vol. 1 –– which both placed in the top 20 on the Billboard Heatseekers albums chart.
