Gilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — First lady Michelle Obama will be the latest passenger to “rock out” on James Corden’s popular Late Late Show “Carpool Karaoke” segment.
Her appearance, scheduled to air Wednesday, was recorded back in June, and starts with the chat show host supposedly looking for a tour of the White House. Instead, Mrs. Obama hops in the passenger seat, and asks Corden to “go for a spin.”
Just sitting in the front seat of a car is apparently a rare treat for the FLOTUS, who explains she hasn’t been in the passenger seat in years — except for when daughter Malia was learning to drive. “That was the only time in seven-and-a-half years I was sitting in the passenger’s seat, listening to music, rocking out like this,” she says.
A tease of the segment shows Mrs. Obama doing just that to Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies.”
