In a new video for Columbia Sportswear’s #TestedTough campaign, the rapper climbs Mount Rainier in his home state of Washington. As he enjoys the outdoors, Macklemore talks about the importance of taking time to reconnect with nature.
“If you want a dose of humility, if you want a dose of perspective, of what really matters, or impermanence, there’s no better place to be than outside,” he says.
The Seattle native also reveals how he’s been #TestedTough over the years, whether it’s battling addiction or trying to be a good father to his daughter.
Macklemore previously partnered with Columbia for an environmental video in December.
