Shayan AsgharniaFans can now re-watch season one of Lena Waithe's Twenties.

On Tuesday, Waithe shared the exciting news on Instagram, while dropping a hint about season two.

"This is not a test! Your twenties are what you make it so check out the season 1 encore of #TwentiesOnBET only on @BET," she wrote on Instagram. "I can’t wait for you all to see what we’ve been working on for season 2! We’re coming back BLACKER + QUEERER than ever. Talk soon, your favorite auntie."

Created by Waithe while in her own early twenties, Twenties follows Hattie, a "queer black girl" who dreams of becoming a major screenwriter. She's joined by her heterosexual best friends, Nia and Marie, who are also trying to succeed in their careers as they navigate life. Fan enjoyed the chemistry and humor between Twenties starsJonica "JoJo" T. Gibbs, Gabrielle Graham, and Christina Elmore.

Twenties is another example of Waithe's authentic storytelling featuring diverse Black characters with complex backgrounds.

"All of us who are pro-Black, pro-brown, pro-queer also need to be pro our scars, pro our complexities," Waithe tells Vogue India. "Trauma is a thing that happens to us and is something we can’t blame ourselves for."

"While this idea of not wanting to display trauma in our entertainment is understandable, it’s just not sustainable," she adds. "All movies can’t be nice or happy. Some of our most important pieces of art deal with our deepest pain. I want to write about what keeps me up at night."

Season one of Twenties begins airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET on BET.
