(NEW YORK) — It turns out it may not be all over for Nashville, even though ABC won’t be renewing the series for a fifth season. Lionsgate, the entertainment company behind the country music-themed nighttime soap, gave fans some hope.
“#Nashies we are working hard to find a new home for your favorite show!” the studio said on Twitter. “Thank you for your support & keep tweeting #BringBackNashville.”

“We’re looking for a new home. We never give up on a great show,” chairman Kevin Beggs added in an email to employees, according to Entertainment Weekly. EW points to Hulu as a likely option, since the two companies have a strong relationship and Hulu already has rights to the previous seasons of the show. CMT, DirecTV and Epix are also mentioned as possibilities.
We could learn more Monday night, as leading lady Connie Britton is booked on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which starts at 12:35 a.m. ET on NBC. Meanwhile, there are still two episodes of Nashville yet to air on ABC, starting this Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, with the May 25 episode allegedly culminating with a major cliffhanger.
