The former The Office actor John Krasinski will star as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in a new series for Amazon, Deadline reports.
The project, titled Jack Ryan, is described as a contemporary take on the CIA analyst-slash-globe-trotting troubleshooter.
Alec Baldwin, originated the part of Jack Ryan on the big screen in 1990’s The Hunt for Red October. Ryan was subsequently played by Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck. Chris Pine played him most recently, in 2014’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
