Robert Durst from HBO’s “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst”; Marc Smerling/courtesy of HBO(ATHENS, Ga.) — HBO’s controversial true crime series The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst and the Netflix documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? are among this year’s Peabody Award winners in the documentary and education category.
The winners were announced Tuesday; a full list of all 30 honorees is available on PeabodyAwards.com. The entertainment and children’s winners were revealed last week.
Presented by the University of Georgia, the Peabody Awards recognize excellence in electronic media. They’ll be handed out May 21 in New York.
