Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — James Wan may have directed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel in Furious 7, but he doesn’t want to be dragged into whatever is allegedly going down between Diesel and The Rock on the sequel, Fast 8.

On Wednesday, Wan was at the Television Critics Association press tour panel for the CBS reboot of MacGyver, which he is executive producing. Following the panel, Wan was diplomatic when asked about the drama that surfaced recently after The Rock’s post on Instagram Monday night, in which he called out unnamed male co-stars he referred to as “candy a**es.” It’s been rumored that he was having issues with Diesel.

Wan, the writer and director of Saw, said he has insight into the controversy but is staying out of it.

He added, “These are hard movies to make and so I’m sure tension arises and things happen.” He was reluctant to say anything more about the Fast 8 tension, “because that’s not my movie.”

Wan directed the pilot episode of MacGyver, which will premiere on CBS on Friday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET.

As for Fast 8, it’s scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 14, 2017.
