Diesel opened the face-to-face Instagram video by telling fans that his work on the eighth Fast film is done, and he’s now home with his family. His youngest child, daughter Pauline learned a new word, he explains: “Happy.”
“Her new word kind of describes my spirit and my soul and most people who stay positive,” the actor beams. “When I heard her say ‘happy’ I just lit up with words I can’t even describe.”
Seemingly referencing Johnson’s on-set smack talk, Diesel said he’d soon catch up his fans about “Everything.” Dropping into his deepest, most intimidating Iron Giant/Groot growl, he added, “Everything.”
Prior to shooting Fast 8, Diesel filmed XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, which opens January 20, 2017.
