Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — This likely won’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention: based on demand on ticket marketplace StubHub, Adele has this summer’s hottest tour.
The British pop superstar takes over the top spot from American pop superstar Taylor Swift, who topped StubHub’s hottest tours list in 2015.
Other top tickets, according to StubHub, include pop rockers Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, alt-pop band Twenty One Pilots, reunited ’80s rockers Guns ‘n Roses, and rock legends Paul McCartney and Billy Joel. The list is based on sales for concert events from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
When it comes to the highest tickets sales per show, as opposed to an entire tour, heavy metal icons Metallica top the list, which also includes Beyonce, Joel, McCartney, Adele, Coldplay and Bieber.
