Shot by Ramona Rosales exclusively for BillboardZedd’s a bona fide hitmaker and a multi-millionaire, but he’s used to operating behind the scenes. The DJ-producer says he got his first real taste of life under the media microscope during his short-lived relationship with Selena Gomez.
In a new cover story with Billboard, Zedd discusses what it was like having his romance with Selena go public back in 2015.
“Reporters were calling my parents,” he says. “People were hacking my friends’ phones. I was pissed. [Though] I kind of knew what I was getting myself into.”
He adds os Selena, “She is one of the most talked-about people in the world, but I had no idea how much that would change my life.”
Zedd wouldn’t say if he’s currently dating anyone, but he says he’s not a playboy and isn’t into partying.
“I drink neither vodka nor beer,” he says. Though ironically, he’s Russian-German.
