Dutchess Music/BMGFergie can do romantic ballads like “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” but she can also rap — and she shows off those skills in her new video for “Like It Ain’t Nuttin.”
The clip, which seems to have been filmed in London, features Fergie rocking a number of looks: a blonde touseled ‘do and minimal makeup; black leather and studs and a severe black bob; and dyed red hair and super-thin eyebrows. She dances in a garage in front of a luxury car, rocks the stage in a club, and walks around backstage partying.
“I get money all day like it ain’t nuttin’/spend that money baby like it ain’t nuttin’/all day all day like it ain’t nuttin’/roll up in the Ghost baby like it ain’t nuttin’/not a damn thing,” Fergie raps, as she describes buying expensive cars, making “10 or 20 million,” “swimming in loot,” and “buying up the whole damn bar.”
At the end, the blonde Fergie, who’s performing onstage, literally drops the mic.
“It Ain’t Nuttin'” is from Fergie’s long-awaited new album, Double Dutchess, which arrives Friday. She’s also releasing a “visual” album called Double Dutchess: Seeing Double.
