Victoria’s Secret Angel falls from the sky in new Chainsmokers video for “Paris”

Rory KramerFresh off their Grammy win for Best Dance Recording last weekend, The Chainsmokers have released the official video for their latest hit, “Paris,” and like the lyric video, it contains no imagery or references to Paris.  What it does have, though, is a Taylor Swift squad member as its star.

In the video, Victoria’s Secret Angel Martha Hunt, one of Taylor’s pals, plays a woman in a stately looking but abandoned house, who’s lying on a bed and staring into space.  The Chainsmokers — including Drew Taggart, who sings lead on the song — are then seen standing in a field in the middle of a suburban area.

Martha gets out of bed and wanders through the house in a daze, past furniture covered with sheets.  As she approaches a large window, she gets a look of amazement on her face, and we see that it’s because the house has risen in the air and is floating way above the earth.  The Chainsmokers stand on the grass and watch as the house rises higher and higher, up above the clouds.

Martha, now happy and laughing, perches on the windowsill and jumps, falling down through the clouds, flailing wildly and screaming.  She finally lands back in bed, where she opens her eyes.  Was it all a dream?

Along with the video, The Chainsmokers have also released an EP of Paris remixes.  Their debut album, Memories: Do Not Open, is due out April 7.  Their headlining tour of the same name kicks off April 13.
