The singer reportedly hinted to blogger Perez Hilton that her follow-up to Reputation would be out before she turns 30. Taylor will be 29 this December, which means the new album could potentially be released before the end of next year.
Perez spoke with Taylor backstage at her Rose Bowl show in Los Angeles Saturday night, and recounted their conversation in a YouTube video.
“What I did say to Taylor was I would love it if the next album had a song called ’30’ to keep up the continuation — she had ‘Fifteen,’ she had ’22,'” he says.
He adds, “She’s like, ‘Oh, well, the next album will definitely be out before I’m 30.'”
If that’s the case, fans won’t have to wait as long as they in between the release of 1989 and Reputation. Reputation came out in 2017, three years after 1989.
