Jerritt Clark/Getty Images for Remy Martin(LOS ANGELES) — Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson returned to Los Angeles over the weekend to continue working on their relationship — with the full support of her family and friends, a source tells Entertainment Tonight.
“[Tristan] has a home in L.A. too, but the plan is to live together as a family at Khloé’s home as they continue to work on their relationship,” says the insider. “Everyone is back on board — friends, family and Khloé have all forgiven him and are giving him this second chance — and so far it’s been working for them.”
The 27-year-old Cleveland Caveliers basketball player allegedly cheated on the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star multiple times while she was pregnant. Khloé, 33, had been living in Cleveland since giving birth to their daughter, True, in April.
The source adds that Khloé thinks her decision to stay in Cleveland, rather than rushing back to L.A. after the cheating scandal, was an important step in rebuilding their relationship.
“Her family was obviously very concerned when the scandal broke and they wanted her to come home, [but] she decided to stay and is so happy she did,” according to source. “She loved her time in Cleveland and believes it was essential to their relationship to be together as a family unit during that time. Those are important months as a parent and she is grateful they experienced that as a team.”
On Tuesday, the couple was photographed at a McDonald’s drive-thru. A day earlier, they hung out with Khloé’s sister, Kendall Jenner, and mother Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
