Lorde tweets excitement about “Big Little Lies,” promises “cool stuff coming”

Brendan WalterLorde clued fans in on her musical plans — and her current TV obsession — in a series of Tuesday morning tweets.

The Kiwi pop star first expressed her delight with Big Little Lies, the HBO drama about a group of private school parents in Monterey, California, starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern. Lorde tweeted, “please inject more big little lies DIRECTLY into my veins @HBO!!!!!”

Lorde previously announced a June 16 release date for her sophomore album, Melodrama. When a fan responded to her HBO tweet by requesting more musical “melodrama” directly into their veins, Lorde responded, “lethal dose coming soon…”

She added, “Fine tuning the plan for the whole year…holy sh** you guys have no idea there’s so much cool stuff coming.”
