RCA RecordsZayn’s long-awaited collaboration with Nicki Minaj has arrived.
The duet, “No Candle No Light,” tells the story of a relationship that’s burning out. Instead of rapping, Nicki opts to show off her singing voice on the track.
Nicki had originally teased the collaboration way back in October of last year, calling it her “favorite song of all time.”
Zayn has been releasing a steady stream of singles as fans patiently await his sophomore solo album. Earlier this month, he assured fans that an album will be coming soon.
“I hear you guys.. I know you want a date for the album and I do too,” he tweeted. “The label is holding me back but I promise I am doing everything I can to get my music to you. Thank you.. You will hear from me soon.”
Meanwhile, in a new interview with British Vogue, Zayn chats about another former duet partner, Taylor Swift. He seemingly confirmed a popular Taylor conspiracy about how she avoids the paparazzi.
“She was traveling around in a suitcase,” he told the mag.
Of course, it’s entirely possible Zayn’s joking. Back in 2017, two men were photographed carrying a large black suitcase out of Taylor’s New York City apartment. Somehow rumors got started that she had stuffed herself into some luggage in order to leave her home undetected.
