Island RecordsNick Jonas is sharing the spotlight on his latest song, “Remember I Told You.” The new track features his writing collaborator Mike Posner and Anne-Marie, who sings on Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye.”
“Remember I told you, I need you/Remember the spot that was there/All of the words that I’m saying/Are just a fancy way of saying ‘I care,’” Nick sings on the club-ready tune.
“With this song, I love this message — I feel like it’s a position so many people have been in, where they feel like they’re not being heard…” Nick tells HERO magazine. “I feel like it’s a really humble way of asking for someone’s attention and begging to be heard after you’ve given so much to them.”
Nick says he started writing the song while he was on tour last year and showed it to Mike Posner, who was the special guest on the tour. Mike loved it, contributed some lyric ideas and then jumped on the track for a verse.
“Remember I Told You” is the lead track of Nick’s upcoming album. The album will be the follow-up to 2016’s Last Year Was Complicated.
