Halsey and Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui have joined forces on a new LGBT love song, “Strangers.”
The ‘80s-inspired duet, which will be featured on Halsey’s upcoming album, is about a same-sex romance.
“I just love that Lauren and I are two women who have a mainstream pop presence doing a love song for the LGBT community,” Halsey says in a statement. “’Strangers’ is just a love song that happens to use same-sex pronouns.”
They two sing on the chorus, “We’re not lovers/We’re just strangers/With the same damn hungry/To be touched, to be loved, to feel anything at all.”
Both Halsey and Lauren identify as bisexual.
Halsey sophomore’s album, hopeless fountain kingdom, comes out June 2.
