Image Group LA/ABCAs promised, Alessia Cara has released a brand new song in honor of her 22nd birthday today.
The sweet love song, “A Little More,” has Alessia admitting she wants a deeper relationship with someone. It features a stripped down, acoustic sound with quieter, more vulnerable vocals.
“Hey you/Hey mister knock on my door/I’m sorry that I’ve been emotions galore/Am I crazy for wanting a little bit more?/A little more of you/A little more, a little more of you,” she sings.
On Tuesday, she teased the song’s release, saying, “I made a song in my basement and thought I’d release it tomorrow as a small gift for my birthday.”
The song — both written and produced by Alessia — follows the release of “Growing Pains,” the first single off her upcoming sophomore album, The Pains of Growing.
