ABC/Fred LeeLady Gaga was forced to evacuate her house in Malibu due to the deadly fires in California, but that hasn’t stopped her from trying to raise the spirits of other people who’ve been similarly affected.

On Wednesday, Gaga dropped by a shelter at Pacific Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles to cheer up those who’d been affected by fires.

The L.A. School Police Department tweeted a photo of a dressed-down Gaga posing with an officer, and wrote, “Thank you @ladygaga for visiting the shelter at Pacific Palisades Charter High School and showing support to all those who have been affected by the #WoolseyFire. The LA School Police Department truly appreciates your generosity and #kindness.

On Tuesday, which also was World Kindness Day, Gaga posted photos to her Instagram story of herself wearing a “Malibu” baseball cap and delivering pizza, gift cards and coffee to a Red Cross shelter in the L.A. area.

In other Lady Gaga news, she was referenced several times at last night’s Country Music Association Awards. The hosts, country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, sang a song called “A Star Is Bored,” inspired by her movie, while country group Lady Antebellum gave a shout-out to Gaga as well.
