Biden spoke about the plan at Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit in New York City on Monday. “I’m working with Lady Gaga now and Gaga wants to begin a thing with me where we set up trauma centers where women can go to get the long-term help they need to deal with these crises,” he said.

“We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts on the health of women and men who’ve been abused,” he added. “It’s the next great frontier I want to be part of.”

A spokesperson for Biden tells Entertainment Weekly: “The Vice President and Lady Gaga share an interest in addressing the long-term physical and emotional effects of trauma and they have been discussing what to do about it. Their discussions on how to move forward are in the early stages.”

The two first teamed up after Biden introduced Gaga’s Oscar performance of “Til It Happens to You,” her song from The Hunting Ground, a documentary about sexual assault on college campuses.

Biden and Gaga have also worked together on the It’s On Us campaign, aimed at educating young people about the issue and teaching them how to intervene when they can.
