At an Entertainment Weekly fan event last week, Kelly proclaimed her love for Pink and expressed her desire for them to work together.
“I’m a huge fan of Pink,” Kelly said. “I haven’t had the chance yet to work with her. I think if you project it enough, it might happen, right?”
She also thinks the two would have a lot in common.
“I love her because she has done the whole singer-songwriter record she recently did, she does pop, she loves rock,” Kelly said. “I think [we have] similar musical influences.”
She added, “She’s just very unapologetic. She is who she is, and that’s cool if you like her, and it’s cool if you don’t. I relate to that, so I think that’s why I like her a lot.”
It would seem the feeling is mutual. In a recent appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Pink similarly proclaimed her love for Kelly.
But she joked that she wouldn’t want to duet with her. “I don’t wanna get out-sung!” she said. “If I did a song with Kelly Clarkson I’d get out-sung!”
