When asked what she thought of Meghan Markle’s wedding dress Sunday night, Katy didn’t hold back.
“I would have done one more fitting,” she told Entertainment Tonight during night one of American Idol finals, adding, “I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you.”
She said she preferred Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen bridal look to Meghan’s simple Givenchy gown, proclaiming, “Kate, Kate, Kate won, Kate won!”
Her opinions on the dress aside, Katy declared that she’s “so happy” for Meghan and Prince Harry, who tied the knot in a grand ceremony on Saturday.
“I don’t know them from Adam but it’s amazing what she’s doing with all this, her humanitarian efforts,” Katy said. “You know, the fact that she’s a proud feminist, I love all that. I support her as another woman and love her and wish them both well.”
The American Idol season finale airs tonight on ABC.
