Kevin Mazur/WireImage for MTVWhile ‘N SYNC may not be a going concern anymore, all five members of the group are still good friends and talk — or text — often. In fact, one member who’s about to become a dad says band mate Justin Timberlake has been giving him valuable advice.
Chris Kirkpatrick is expecting his first child with his wife, Karly, and tells US Weekly magazine that Lance Bass recently sent him some baby gifts, including a high chair. As for Justin, who has a two-year-old son named Silas, Chris says he’s given him advice that’s been very general and advice that’s been very specific.
“Justin told me a million times, ‘Your life is going to change,'” Chris tells the magazine. But he says Justin also shared this warning: “Now, whenever you are changing a diaper and things like that, there is a weapon that is out there and it’s going to go. Wrap things in plastic, be ready for anything.'”
Chris adds, “He’s loving it because he’s telling me all this crazy stuff and he’s like, ‘Just trust me on this one.'”
So, does that mean that Justin’s personally experienced being in the “firing line,” so to speak, while changing Silas? Chris says with a laughs, “I can’t say for sure but I can say probably. I can say it’s a great possibility.”
Chris also reveals that he, Justin, Lance, Joey Fatone and JC Chasez are all on a group text and are constantly communicating with each other. The group went on permanent hiatus in 2002, but they reunited to perform on the 2013 MTV VMAs. And about a year ago, they also reunited for JC’s birthday.
