Jessica Biel tackles sex ed with the Tryst Network

ABC/Image Group LA(NEW YORK) — Her husband Justin Timberlake might have brought sexy back, but Jessica Biel is bringing sex to the forefront — of the conversation that is — thanks to a new online community called Tryst.

The actress and producer partnered with Saundra Pelletier, from the nonprofit organization Woman Care Global (WCG), to spearhead the new sexual health and education campaign for girls and women.

In 2015, Biel helped WCG launch a series of funny and informative videos about sexual health and protection, titled “If You Don’t Tell Them, Then Who Will?” The videos came out of Biel’s own questions about her body when she was thinking about having a family.

“I just realized I was never taught…Something needs to change for the young women in this country… but also of course, the young men,” says Biel.  “We want everyone to be body positive, and sex positive, and educated about their own personal bodies.”

The Tryst partnership continues this series of videos, posted at Tryst.org, and the Tryst Network’s YouTube channel.

“You know, we just want people not to be shameful,” about sex, Biel tells ABC Radio, admitting, “…and I want it for myself, too, because I still struggle with it.”

The videos are designed to get women and men talking about that most important aspect of relationships. “I don’t have the answers — we don’t have the the answers,” Biel says, “but we really feel like coming at it from a humorous standpoint is our way in.”

Helping on that front? Tryst’s first videos feature Chelsea Handler, a comic who hasn’t been shy about taking about sex her whole career, as well as I Love You Man funnyman Rob Huevel, who plays Jessica’s hubby.
