ABC/Lou RoccoHalsey is set to be honored by the L.A. homeless youth organization My Friend’s Place next month.

The singer, who herself endured periods of homelessness before she was famous, will be recognized at the event, called “Ending Youth Homelessness: A Benefit for My Friend’s Place,” on April 6 at the Hollywood Palladium.

Other honorees include teen sisters Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler and the fashion brand ModCloth, in whose latest campaign Halsey appears.

More than 500 leaders, community members and advocates are expected to attend the event, which includes entertainment, dining and auctions. The annual gala has raised millions of dollars over the last five years to support services and programs that help homeless youth.
