Getty Images/Jason Kempin(LONDON) — Gerard Butler will reprise his role as Secret Service agent Mike Bannon in Angel Has Fallen, a third film in a series that began with 2013’s White House attack flick Olympus Has Fallen.
The original film — and its 2015 follow-up London Has Fallen — did well enough to prompt the threequel; the series also stars Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, who plays the speaker of the House, and Aaron Eckhart, who plays the president.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this time, Butler’s character will be the attackers’ target, along with the commander-in-chief, whose official plane, Air Force One, is code-named Angel.
Production is set to start in 2017.
