Disney(LOS ANGELES) — You loved them as the voices of Elsa and Anna in Frozen, and now, this holiday season, you’ll be able to see Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell reunite in real life to perform together on primetime TV for the very first time.
The duet will be part of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, airing Thursday, November 30 on ABC. Idina and Kristen will perform “When We’re Together,” from the new animated featurette Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. The two will perform with a 30-piece choir from the steps of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
In a statement, Idina says, “Anytime I get to reunite with Kristen, whether it’s in the studio or on the stage, is very special for me. I think I can speak for her when I say we are both so proud of this story we get to tell and these sisters we get to portray.”
Kristen adds, “This performance will combine two of my very favorite things: the holidays and singing alongside my Frozen sister, Idina Menzel. I’m excited to sing a song with Idina that I feel has the potential to become a new holiday classic.”
Other performers on the special include 98 Degrees, Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block, Ciara, Darius Rucker, Jason Derulo, Hanson, Fifth Harmony and boy band In Real Life. The show, hosted by Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey, airs at 9 p.m. ET.
In addition, Idina will sing “When You Wish Upon a Star” on the ABC special Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration, which airs December 25 at various times, depending on your location.
The Olaf’s Frozen Adventure short can be seen in theaters playing before Disney/Pixar’s Coco, which hits theaters November 22.
