Don’t like Demi sweaty? She’s got some advice for you

PRNewsfoto/FableticsPeople who work out — really work out — rarely look their best at the gym.  You’re all hot and sweaty, your hair’s a mess and your have no makeup on.  But according to Demi Lovato, you shouldn’t let that stand in the way of meeting a new bae while you’re there.

Speaking to Self magazine, Demi says, “I’m pretty confident in my own skin. I’ve run into guys that I’ve liked at the gym and it doesn’t matter if I’m sweaty or not.  They’ll like me for who I am…or if not, then they can suck it!”

But the singer also thinks that if you’ve got to go to the gym, you’ll look better if you wear her new line of Fabletics exercise wear, which she created in partnership with actress Kate Hudson after meeting her at a boxing gym.  The line just debuted Wednesday.

Demi works out six times a week, and likes to focus on cardio because she has to be able to sing and dance onstage at the same time.  But she tells Self she also enjoys hand-to-hand combat sports like jiu-jitsu and MMA fighting.

“I first got into jiu-jitsu because I loved watching people grapple,” Lovato says.  “I think it’s really cool to learn something that helps you with self-defense.” 

Denmi also says working out in general can help with “depression, anxiety, or any other type of stressors in your life.”
