Courtesy MTVThe MTV VMAs are this Sunday, and starting Thursday, you can vote in the just-announced “Song of the Summer” category, which features the songs you’ve no doubt been jamming to for months. And yes, “Despacito” is most definitely one of the nominees.
Voting opens August 24 at 1 p.m. ET and will run exclusively in a Snapchat Our Story for 36 hours. The winner will be revealed during the telecast, which airs live from the Forum in Inglewood, CA on Sunday night, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Last year’s winner was Fifth Harmony’s “All in My Head (Flex)” featuring Fetty Wap. Fifth Harmony are also nominated this year, for their latest hit, “Down,” featuring Gucci Mane. The girls and the rapper will perform the song together during the show.
