RCA RecordsXtina’s back.  Christina Aguilera‘s first album in six years, Liberation, has debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard album chart.  The album enters the chart at #6, with first-week sales of 68,000 units.  It’s her seventh top 10 album overall.

In a positive review, the New York Times wrote of Liberation, “The album reworks ideas that Ms. Aguilera has brandished at least since her 2002 album, Stripped: that women can be combative, sexy, compassionate, imperfect, sometimes self-doubting, sometimes victimized, sometimes even self-destructive, but still strong and worthy.”

In an Instagram post rounding up all the great reviews the album has garnered, Christina wrote, “Grateful for all the love.”

Christina’s last album, 2012’s Lotus, debuted and peaked at #7.
