The diva’s new album Liberation will arrive June 15. A new track, “Accelerate,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, has just been released, along with a music video. If you pre-order the album, you’ll get the song as a free download instantly.
The album also features a duet with Demi Lovato, called “Fall In Line,” which Demi hinted at on Instagram by quoting a lyric from it. What’s more, during a March 7 show in Dallas, Texas, Demi reminisced about attending a Christina Aguilera concert in the same venue when she was younger, and told the audience, “And now, Christina’s my girl, and big things are coming.”
According to Billboard, Kanye West produced part of her new album.
The video for “Accelerate” is slightly NSFW — there are some shots of Christina’s breasts, naked except for electrical tape over the naughty bits. There are also endless, close-up shots of her mouth and tongue, as well as shots of her being drenched in a clear, viscous fluid.
Liberation is Christina’s first album since 2012’s Lotus. Since then, she’s had a second child, Summer Rain, gotten engaged to Summer’s dad, Matthew Rutler, appeared in the TV show Nashville, and scored hits with the Pitbull collaboration “Feel This Moment” and the Great Big World collaboration “Say Something.” She also voiced a character in The Emoji Movie and was cast in the new film Zoe.
